Updating PowerPoint Presentations

How to update your existing PowerPoint presentation to the new Dodge PowerPoint theme/look and feel:

  1. Open PowerPoint and create a new Dodge PowerPoint with the provided template
  2. Open your existing presentation separately
  3. Copy the slides from your existing presentation
  4. Paste them into the new Dodge PowerPoint presentation
  5. Apply the new Dodge theme to the old slides: On the Design tab, in the Themes group, select Dodge
  6. Go to View, then select Slide Master slide to look at how the slide content is intended (text color, placement, etc). When you convert old content into a new slide template, it doesn’t convert text to the correct size or color. So it will be important to look at the master to see how it is intended.
  7. While in the Slide Master view, make layout and content edits as needed to adjust the content to the new theme and template design

NOTE: When copying and pasting content into new template text boxes, use Paste Text Only to adopt the new formatting instead of bringing in the old. The shortcut for Paste as Text Only is: Ctrl + V , Ctrl , T
